- Around this time, Sunset Shimmer, a unicorn from Equestria, arrives on Earth as a human via a magic mirror portal which connects from her homeworld to the statue at Canterlot High School, officially making first contact between humans and Equestrians. Sunset eventually manipulated the student body and staff of the school, leading her to fully control the school over the next three years.
