The Ambassador-class was the mirror universe equivalent of the Federation's Ambassador-class ships. They had a specially designed transporter in the cargo bay to transport shuttlecraft into other universes.
History[]
The Terran Empire used these vessels during a war with the Klingon-Cardassian Alliance, but overextended its forces when it declared war on and destroyed the Ferengi homeworld. The Empire had done this after finding out the Ferengi were supporting the Alliance. Earth forces subsequently retreated and allowed the Alliance to overrun Vulcan while the Niagara-class ships entered service (The Final Days).
