The Coronalis System is an inhabited star system within Federation-controlled space. It contains 16 planets around its orbit, three of which - Coronalis III, Coronalis IV and Coronalis V, are class M and are inhabited by Federation citizens.
The Coronalis System is located in between the borders of the Alpha Quadrant and the Beta Quadrant, at the edge of Federation space nearest to the galactic core.
As of 2385, its fourth planet, Coronalis IV, was the location of Station Frontier, the headquarters of Vanguard Command, and the planet-side installation Coronalis Base, as well as Frontier's Edge, a vast paradise-like Federation colony with a population of 5 million.
All flag officers of Vanguard Command were provided permanent residences in Frontier's Edge, to live in whenever they wish.
