The Cryptic Universe is a quantum reality that followed the history of the Prime universe until the end of the Dominion War. Events then began to vary from other timelines and led to the Federation-Klingon War of 2405-2410 and the Iconian Wars.
The term "Cryptic universe" is derived from Cryptic Studios, the developers of the video game Star Trek Online, the content to which this universe pertains.
