Kosenon was a Takaran Starfleet officer in the 24th century. He was one of the best young tactical officers in the fleet.
As of 2385, he held the rank of Lieutenant Commander and was assigned to USS Perseverance as a senior Tactical Officer and concurrent Commanding Officer of the Valiant-class Tactical Corvette USS Tomahawk, the companion ship of the Perseverance. Both ships are part of Task Force Perseverance and Abraxis Command, under the flag command of Rear Admiral Adnan Kaplan.
Abraxis Command is a field division of Vanguard Command operating in the Gamma Quadrant several light years "behind" the terminus of the Bajoran wormhole and along the borders of the Khronnian Suzerainty, while Task Force Perseverance is the special expediationary force attached to Task Force Dauntless, one of seven main task forces comprising the Vanguard Fleet.
