The Emergency Holographic Complement refers to the full complement of specialized emergency holographic programs that have been installed on the starships of Starfleet beginning 2385.
These are the different kinds of holograms in the complement:
- Emergency medical hologram, or EMH
- Emergency command and conn hologram, or ECCH
- Emergency engineering hologram, or EEH
- Emergency operations hologram, or EOH
- Emergency security and tactical hologram, or ESTH
- Emergency science hologram, or ESH
- Emergency intelligence and reconnaissance hologram, or EIRH
Each hologram was supplied with a mobile emitter, reproductions of the original device that was used by the EMH of USS Voyager. This allowed the hologram to perform missions outside the confines of the ship.
On fleet carrier and command battleship types of starship, there were more of each kind of emergency holograms installed.
