Federation Chroniton Torpedoes were a prototype weapon utilized by Starfleet in 2385 when Starfleet Command discovered the logs by Captain Katheryn Janeway depicting the Chroniton Torpedoes Kes described when she was in Biotemporal flux. They were not in temporal flux, but could penetrate shields.
Design[]
The Federations utilization of Chroniton Torpedoes was primitive to the Kremins Chroniton Torpedoes. They were made up of 2 compartments. The primary one contained synthetically unstable and volatile Chroniton particles. That was connected to the secondary compartment which consisted of a plasma charge which ignited when it reached 0.31psi.
Damage[]
The damage which could be caused by these Chroniton Torpedoes was astonishing. The effect of igniting the unstable and volatile Chroniton particles was leaking chroniton radiation in the molecular structure of the blast radius,[N 1] thereby causing radiation hardening, which degraded the metals of the hull.
Shield penetration[]
Though they were not 100% Kremin chroniton torpedoes. They still managed to cut through shields. This was achieved by interdependent work with Starfleet Tactical and Starfleet Science who managed to get the torpedoes to emit Ventilamist Energy, therefore letting the torpedoes cut through the shields like a knife through butter.
Usage[]
The usage of these extreme torpedoes were limited. Due to their extreme power and uncommon necessities to be created, Starfleet Command felt obligated to regulating the usage. Thereby leading to the creation of Tactical Protocol Shomaw.
