Geordi La Forge was a male Human who was a noted Starfleet officer and engineer who served in the 24th century. He was most famous for serving as chief engineer aboard the USS Enterprise-D and USS Enterprise-E.
Enterprise-D[]
In 2364, La Forge transferred to the Enterprise-D along with Commander Riker, to serve as conn officer under Captain Jean-Luc Picard. He spent his first year aboard the Enterprise in the position of navigator (at the rank of Lieutenant J.G.), before transferring to engineering and becoming the ship's new chief engineer with the rank of full Lieutenant in 2365.
Enterprise-E[]
After the destruction of the Enterprise-D, he transferred to the new USS Enterprise-E in 2372. He and the Enterprise then spent a year on a shakedown cruise. In 2381, he was promoted to the rank of Commander. He remained with the Enterprise-E until 2382.
Vanguard Command[]
In 2385, La Forge was promoted to the rank of Captain and was given command of the Sovereign-class Command Cruiser USS Adamant.
La Forge also held the designation of Fleet Captain, being in operational command of Mission Group Bravo of Task Force Viceroy, which was one fourth of the starships of the task force during Condition Yellow. He was second-in-command to Commodore Tesu of Strike Group Two during Condition Red-1.
La Forge's ship, Mission Group, and Strike Group were all under the flag command of Vice Admiral Kathryn Janeway, Fleet Commander of Task Force Viceroy and Sector Commander of Anuva Command.
Anuva Command was a field division of Vanguard Command operating in the Delta Quadrant, while Task Force Viceroy was one of seven task forces comprising the Vanguard Fleet.
