George Primmin was a Starfleet officer who served as a security chief on the USS Livingston and Deep Space 9 in the 24th century.

USS Livingston[]

Primmin first became a security chief in 2363. He was assigned to the USS Livingston as chief of security in 2367. During one day in 2369, he discovered someone on the ship was sending covert transmissions to the Maquis. He informed his Captain, Grady Howard about it. The two decided to wait for the traitor on the ship to expose themselves. Primmin saw an encoded transmission being sent on his tactical station. He discovered that the signal came from Lieutenant Matthew MacTavish's quarters, who was chief engineer of the Livingston. Primmin arrested MacTavish and sent him to the ship's brig.

Deep Space 9[]

In early 2369, Primmin transferred off the Livingston and was assigned to Starfleet Security. Later, he was assigned to Deep Space 9 to watch over the duridium shipment. Security chief, Constable Odo, was especially annoyed by Primmin's presence, but learned to work with him. Primmin was also on the station when Commander Sisko and three other members of the senior staff where transformed into game pieces by a Gamma Quadrant race called the Wadi. Fortunately, Sisko, along with the senior staff were returned back to normal before the Wadi left the station. Primmin left Deep Space 9 shortly after for his next assignment on Earth.
