These two crewmembers were part of the personnel that in 2291, were dispatched on a mission against the Federation. However, when they were a day away from their journey, they were put into suspended animation by a Klingon "traitor" who believed in peace rather than violence.
In 2365, they awoke but were not aware of the changes between the Federation and the Klingon Empire's relationship and continued the journey. However, they were convinced by Lopac and Emissary K'Gharrat and stopped their journey. (TNA: "Sleeping Klingons")
