The Jatha Dilithium Mine was a Federation dilithium harvesting and refining facility assigned to and operated by Ktarn Fleet in the early 25th century. It also served as a resource and transportation hub. Lieutenant Linor, the fleet’s chief quartermaster, managed the mine, but left most of the day-to-day operations in the hands of his foremen. Commander Janko Zupan, commanding officer of the USS Gondolier, was responsible for the mine’s defenses and escorting the SS Venitian, the primary transport ship between the mine and Vershina Station.
