In the mirror universe Jean-Luc Picard was captain of the ISS Enterprise-D in the Terran Empire's final days of its war with the Klingon-Cardassian Alliance (The Gift).

Biography[]

Little is known of Picard's early life. He is believed to have dropped out of the Imperial Starfleet Academy, but was conscripted into Starfleet as the Empire was fighting one of its wars with the Alliance. He was considered something of a marginal performer, showing little incentive to advance, drifting from one assignment to another.

All this changed in 2344 when he met a young couple named Jack and Beverly Crusher. Picard became more aggressive in Starfleet from that point on, making Lieutenant Commander within a few years by assassinating Jack Crusher on an away mission, and full Commander the year after that by claiming credit for an ingenious maneuver the ISS Victory used to defeat a Cardassian warship, even though the Victory was destroyed in the process.

ISS Enterprise-D and later[]

Picard was assigned as the Enterprise’s executive officer when that ship was launched, and became its Captain by assassinating Captain Holloway. One of his first actions was to appoint the widowed Beverly Crusher as its chief medical officer, and he took her as his mistress. He and Deanna Troi later disposed of Beverly.

In the tradition of the mirror universe Picard and Troi both sold out to the Alliance, where Deanna caught the eye of an up-and-coming Council member named Worf. Picard helped the Alliance wipe out the Romulans after Earth was conquered, and was eventually made a regent of the Klingon dependencies under Worf. He appointed William Riker, his executive officer on the Enterprise, as his commandant of security.
