Jeremy Silok Amundson was a Vulcan Starfleet engineer.
Jeremy was raised by an adoptive Human family on Earth. He grew up in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, and attended university there before graduating at the age of 21. He then enrolled at Starfleet Academy, attracted by the challenge of maintaining equipment and software within the constraints of a starship.
Childhood[]
Jeremy was adopted and named by his adoptive family on Earth. As a Vulcan raised on a Human planet, Jeremy often found it difficult to understand or interact with others.
For much of his childhood, Jeremy had difficulty controlling his emotions. Even as he got older, he still believed that openly showing emotion was an important part of his Earth heritage. He got along well with humans and other Vulcans, but it was difficult for him to develop relationships.
Starfleet[]
Jeremy received his first posting around 2394, and was assigned to the USS Paramaribo in 2397. On the Paramaribo, Jeremy served on the bridge during the night shift. Wearing the standard-issue Starfleet combadge on his shirt bothered him, so he was permitted to carry a handheld version instead.
Hobbies[]
Jeremy liked to write holoprograms in his free time. One of his first programs was a reproduction of the mess hall - complete with actual replicated food - which would later be used on the USS Kagoshima.
He also enjoyed following college football, and used his shore leave in 2396 to attend the championship game between California and Mississippi at the Yale Bowl in Connecticut.
Relationships[]
On the Paramaribo, Jeremy developed a friendship with Fer Nesselar, whose host was about the same age (although her symbiont was older.) He also talked often with C. A. Kelper about growing up as a non-Human on Earth. Fellow engineer Mekor Vorak served as an informal mentor.
Jeremy also had a group of friends from the academy who studied physics. In 2399 they made a point of securing transport on the Paramaribo to spend time with him.
