Justine Usman was a Human Starfleet officer active from the 2360s onward.
History[]
Early life[]
Justine Usman was born in 2340 in Pike City, Cestus III to Reza Usman and Stephen Marinos. A few years later, her sister Renata Usman was born.
Education[]
In 2358, Usman entered a university on her homeworld with the intention of becoming a physician. She graduated in 2364 and worked for a short time on Cestus III before traveling to Earth to begin training at Starfleet Academy. There, Usman completed a program of accelerated core classes, intended for prospective officers who were already well-educated and experienced in their chosen field as a way to move from civilian work to non-command Starfleet positions. Following the two year program on Earth, Usman and her classmates were given the rank of Ensign and assigned additional field training before being considered for a permanent posting. After several months in her temporary assignment, Usman was promoted to Lieutenant junior grade and given a transfer to the USS Pioneer, due to launch soon.
