Memory Delta was the fifth in a series of outpost facilities constructed as part of the Memory Project, an effort to document and store the Federation's extensive library of knowledge. It was created for the study and catalogue of data regarding the formations and evolution of stars and planets in the galaxy. The facility was controlled from a central core at Memory Prime.
