Milky Way Galaxy (Basic Overview)
The Milky Way Galaxy is home to aproximately 3,500 sentient species and is made up of the Alpha, Beta, Gamma and Delta quadrants. The galaxy is about 100,000 light years across.
The closest galaxy is the Andromeda Galaxy, which is 2,500,000 light years away at it's closest point.
