In an alternate reality of the Federation Civil War, the New Insurrection created a vessel to command when the USS Enterprise-C and the USS Admonitor were captured by extra-galactic forces. That vessel was the NIS Venator (SC-2344-01).
History[]
The vessel was constructed at Deep Space Ten in the Triangulum Galaxy by members of the New Insurrection as a tertiary battleship their allies could command, since two ships were becoming rather predictable. When the Enterprise-C and the Admonitor were captured, this became the unofficial flagship of the New Insurrection.
