Nniol tr'Temer was a male Romulan officer of the Romulan Republic and commanding officer of the RRW D'serek. He sacrificed his life to save Federation and Klingon delegates and ensured recognition of the Republic.

Temer's death proved to the Klingon's that not all Romulans were as duplicitous as the Tal Shiar. After the events at Khitomer, the Klingon Empire and United Federation of Planets went on to ally with the Republic and eventually formed the Alpha Quadrant Alliance to fight against threats to the entire galaxy.
After the Republic became established on Mol'Rihan, the capital city was named in Temer's honor. It was called Hachae s'Temer, meaning "Temer's soul."[1]
