The Noonian Soong Spire was a research and development facility located within a spire of the Solanae Dyson Sphere and overseen by Ktarn Fleet.
History[]
After the discovery of the Solanae Dyson Sphere, a loose alliance of the Federation, Klingon Empire, and Romulan Republic was formed to explore the sphere and prevent the Voth from obtaining Omega molecules. The alliance was known as Dyson Sphere Joint Command and oversaw all operations in the Solanae Sphere. As such, they provided liberated spires across the sphere’s interior surface for various joint efforts in study of the sphere and adaptation of its technologies. The Noonian Soong Spire, named after the roboticist Noonian Soong, served as the chief research and development facility of Ktarn Fleet beginning in 2409.
After the Alpha Quadrant Alliance’s partnership with the Krenim, a secondary facility was constructed for Ktarn Fleet: the Delta Foundry. The two research labs worked in conjunction during the Iconian War to develop ways in which to better equip the Iconian Resistance.
