Pomin was a Sandolian male who lived during the mid-24th century. His wife and son died in a flood, leaving him alone with his daughter Osla.

In 2366, when a Federation duck blind was exposed on Sandol III, he was injured and beamed up to the USS Valentine. While in sickbay, he witnessed scenes which felt like the afterlife to him. That included a very specific identification of one, Jeffery Johnson.

Upon his return to home, Pomin believed he had returned from the dead, and that he was saved by "the Johnson", which was his interpretation of their god.

After receiving a visit from "the Johnson" in their village, Pomin was still unconvinced that he was mortal and shot Johnson with an arrow, proving once and for all that he was not a god. (TNA: "The Discovery")
