Alpha I is the prequel to Star Trek: To Walk With A Shadow. Young Romulan operative S’kara Barel is on Vulcan to send back information on a technological weapon being created by the Federation. But while there, she discovers Terrek, a Romulan scientist who is hiding his identity, and Corey Standish, a human physicist who is dedicated to helping Terrek. As she finds herself entangled in the deceptive web of Romulan politics and one of the most important discoveries in her lifetime, she begins to question who she is and what she serves.
