T'Mel

T'Mel was the commanding officer of the Starfleet science vessel USS Asimov. She graduated with honors in biochemistry from the Vulcan Science Academy. She obtained a position with the Daystrom Research Institute. On a research expedition her team was involved in an incident that left her as the only a survivor. She joined Starfleet to continue her career in science but in a more secure environment. She had command thrust upon her but saw it as a logical step in her career. She preferred to be addressed by her proper rank: Commander.
