Tactical Protocol Shomaw (Vulcan for Restrict) was a 2387 protocol which regulated the usage of Chroniton Torpedoes. It was created when test on the torpedoes power was analyzed and then finalized. Showing the extreme force of those weapons. The regulations are as followed:

  • The only situation in which these torpedoes must become a primary weapon is when:
  1. The starship/starbase containing these weapons is under attack and conventional weapons are becoming a futile approach.
  2. When Code 1 Is Initiated
  3. During a Borg Incursion

Consequences[]

This a list of the consequences which can follow if the regulations above are violated, et cetera.

  1. Violation of TPS Regulation 1
  • Usage during a non-threatening situation will lead into removal of administration and authorization, and temporary suspension.

2. Violation of TPS Regulation 2 (2 Possibilities, Federation-Wide event, but not Code 1, or Sector-Wide Event)

  • If the Federation is suffering an event across its entirety of territory but hasn't initiated Code 1, and Chroniton Torpedoes are fired at the designated enemy. Consequences will be removal of authority and temporary suspension.
  • If the Sector the starship/starbase is in is suffering a entire conflict, Chroniton Torpedoes will not be used, it will be still considered a localized and/or minor internal event. Same consequences above

3. Violation of TPS Regulation 3 is non-existent since Borg Incursions are both uncommon and "to serious" to take advantage upon.
