For mirror universe counterpart, see Tarsi (mirror).Tarsi is the player's initial first officer in Star Trek Online, provided the player chose the TOS Starfleet faction. Like the stereotype of many Andorians.

Tarsi is a Bridge Officer in the video game Star Trek Online. Tarsi is the first Bridge Officer received by the player (assuming the player picked The Original Series Starfleet faction) upon completing the tutorial ground mission "Dislodging Klingons".

Abilities and Personality[]

In Star Trek Online, Tarsi has gameplay elements and abilities of a tactical officer from her Bridge Officer (BOff) type. Tarsi has access to more and strong abilities along with passives due to being a very rare bridge officer. Tarsi has character traits standard to Andorians, optimized towards combat abilities and passives. Upon the player meeting the then Ensign Tarsi in the tutorial, Tarsi appears to be emotional and passionate (about her work) with a witty sense of dry humor thrown into the mix. Upon the tutorial being completed, Tarsi's demeanor changes to reflect her new role as first officer where she is more professional and focused to her duties.

History[]

Tarsi has at least one sibling, an unnamed sister. (Bull By the Horns mission; Star Trek Online) Tarsi was good at decrypting Klingon pads and files, as she claims during the tutorial that "my sister's diary is easier to decrypt!". (Bull By the Horns Mission; Star Trek Online)

In 2270 Tarsi was an ensign and assigned to the player's tutorial starship, initially under the command of Captain Isaac Garrett. (I Sing Of Arms; Star Trek Online)

After Garrett was promoted to Admiral, Tarsi took the position of security chief and became first officer to the player upon command being transferred to them. (Explore Earth Space dock mission; Star Trek Online)

Tarsi fights alongside the player and participates in the missions of the "Agents of Yesterday" story arc, up until the Battle of Caleb IV, where she was presumably killed withe rest of the crew and player while assisting on the tutorial ship during the mission and being overrun by Klingon forces when attempting to hold the lone for other Starfleet ships to escape. (Agents of Yesterday Story Arc; Star Trek Online)

Tarsi was saved by Temporal Agent Daniels and taken to 2409 along with the rest of the player's Bridge Officers, where the player becomes a temporal agent. At this point, the player may choose to keep or dismiss Tarsi, as well as change her department (if selecting her as the head and can also remove her from being first officer) in the Duty Officers menu, provided it has been unlocked. (Welcome to Earth Spacedock; Star Trek Online)

Tarsi's fate is unknown if she is dismissed from the player's Bridge Officer roster, as there are no details nor references to her after that. She cannot be reclaimed once dismissed. (Welcome to Earth Spacedock; Star Trek Online)

Notes[]

  • Tarsi's bio cannot be modified in Star Trek Online like most of the first Bridge Officers player character of each faction receive. and if Tarsi is dismissed, it is not possible to reclaim her.
  • Tarsi originally had the same Bridge Officer traits in Star Trek Online as Elisa Flores, including Leadership and Superior Teamwork. These were changed to ones appropriate for an Andorian in the July 21, 2016, patch.
  • Tarsi originally had lines in Star Trek Online about being a redshirt prior to their removal in a patch in 2021. At the time, despite being tactical gold, she refers to herself as tactical red in her conversation with Ensign Hunter, saying "We redshirts have to stick together". This is a holdover from prior to her design being finalized for the release of Agents of Yesterday.
  • Tarsi's appearance in Star Trek Online was updated in 2021 with the revamp and modernization of The Agents of Yesterday and TOS content. Tarsi was also given new and additional voice lines by an unknown actor for subsequent missions in The Agents of Yesterday story arc.
