The logistical needs of the Vanguard Fleet and Vanguard Command are primarily provided by the starships of the division called Station Support Task Force. It is responsible for the delivery of critical starship and station supplies and services in the fields of medicine, engineering, science, and diplomacy to the different starbases and space stations of Vanguard Command. They are under the overall command of the Deputy Flag Officer-in-Command of Vanguard Command Anastassia Folonova through Vanguard Command's Chief of Starfleet Operations Vice Admiral Storack, its Chief of Starfleet Corps of Engineers Rear Admiral Rehja Mon, its Chief of Starfleet Medical [[Rear Admiral Beverly Crusher, and its Chief of Starfleet Science Rear Admiral Salek. But their deployment and movement are directly supervised by the stations' respective command staff.
Station Support Task Force composition[]
As a whole division, the Station Support Task Force is composed of forty-seven (47) starships, distributed between Vanguard Command and its six sector commands, namely:
- Eight (8) Parliament-class Utility Cruiser
- Seven (7) Olympic-class Medical Cruiser
- Eight (8) California-class Utility Support Cruisers
- Eight (8) Wallenberg-class Transports
- Sixteen (16) Nova-class Science Frigates

Command structure[]
Administratively, the whole of station defense task force division is under the command of Vice Admiral Storack. Engineering operations oversight of the Parliament-class Utility Cruisers, California-class Utility Support Cruisers, and Wallenberg-class Transports is performed by Rear Admiral Rehja Mon. Medical missions oversight of the Olympic-class Medical Cruisers is performed by Rear Admiral Beverly Crusher (Vanguard) through her second-in-command and fellow doctor and surgeon, Captain Lance McCoy. Scientific operations oversight of the Nova-class Science Frigates is performed by Rear Admiral Salek. However, each station support task force unit is directly under the operational command of the deputy base commander of their respective sector commands.
Compared to the ships of the Station Defense Task Force, they do not only serve the needs of their respective starbases and stations, but also the Federation and Starfleet as a whole.
Deployment[]
Starships of the Station Support Task Force generally take on second contact missions, helping new cultures develop the infrastructure they need to interact with the wider galaxy. They also take on the more complex engineering projects that frontline starships of Starfleet do not have the time to engage in or cannot otherwise do alone.
