Doctor Thalar (pronounced THAY-lar) was a 23rd century Andorian Starfleet medical officer.
In an alternate 2285, he was assigned to the USS Hathaway as chief medical officer, under Captain Montgomery Scott.
Thalar was tall, stoic, with chiseled handsome features and was a relatively young adult for an Andorian. Scotty considered him to to be Hathaway's equivalent to Mr. Spock.
The doctor was admired by the majority of the crew, with several even fantasizing about melting his cold blue heart.
Thalar had an ongoing feud with Tellarite crewmember Kvorx, who he considered obnoxious among other lesser things.
