The Transporter was one of the most integral pieces of technology in the Federation and other Interstellar powers. Created in the 2150s by the Federation, transporters had become an integral piece of transportation and society.
History[]
22nd century[]
In the 22nd century, the transporter was brand new and just approved for biomatter, although it was met by disapproval. Transporter accidents, like molecular cohesion loss, were common.
23rd century[]
In the 23rd century transporters were quite more sufficient. Although transporter accidents were not as common, the most serious incident was the James T. Kirk counterpart created in the 2260s.
24th century[]
Extremely complex and efficient by now, transporters had replaced most transportation and even could be used for medical purposes. The 24th century was nicknamed the Renaissance era of transporters. As from the late 2390s on no major or basic transporter incidents occurred.
25th century[]
25th century transporters were some of there most efficient and safe forms of the transporters. They were retrofitted with a new methodology but contained the same pieces of technology. As of 2474 the operation of the device was quite simple:
- On the cellular level, each out of the 37.2×1013 cells in the humanoid body are toke apart and individualized.
- A biomagnetic field uses biogenic instances to keep the cells suspended in the initial stages before transport. Within that time fame gigaquads of all the iotas of biophysiological and biometric info of the body is downloaded.
- A coherent tachyon beam "flings" the biomagnetic field towards the transport location. Alteration to the biomolecular structure is negligible.
- A reverse process of steps 2 and 1 take place as the bodies biomolecular bonds and simple atomic structures realign. This all occurs within (ca. 2470s) 5-6 seconds each time (dematerialization and rematerialization)
