The USS Ambush (NCC-1502) was a Federation Cruiser that served during the Earth-Romulan War.

Service History

The Ambush was sent to rescue fleet commander Warren Kelly from Romulan hands. So, the Ambush covertly travelled to the planet where he was held deep in Romulan space. Due to interference from the planet's atmosphere, they couldn't use scanners or the transporters. They opted to use the two shuttles to deploy the away team. Later, after they managed too successfully free Kelly, a lucky shot from a Romulan managed to severely damaged one of the shuttles nacelles. But both nacelles were ejected before the damaged one blew up. And both shuttles safely landed in the Ambush's hanger. Having not only lost just one member of the away team, but they also rescued Kelly, and also gained information about a supposed Romulan attack on Earth. They viewed it as a great success.
