The USS Anselm, registry number NCC-94549, is an Excalibur III-class cruiser assigned to the 5th Fleet in the Vulcan system. Like the rest of the Excalibur III-class, the Anselm is a cruiser primarily used as "Starfleet's workhorse", as a mass hauler, an escort, and, when times arise, a support ship.
The Anselm is named after Sir Anselm, one of the knights of the Winchester Round Table.
