Vanguard Command[]

The USS Bohr was launched in 2384 from the Coronalis Frontier Fleet Yards and was commissioned in 2385 as part of the Vanguard Fleet, the mobile arm of Vanguard Command.

As part of Vanguard Command, the USS Bohr's capabilities included:

Type-XII phaser arrays.
Mark-X pulse phaser cannons.
The capacity to launch quantum torpedoes.
A full payload of Khronnian enhanced high-yield photon torpedoes, which were almost powerful as quantum torpedoes.

Enhanced and redundant structural integrity fields, which exponentially increases the ship's ability to maintain the integrity and shape of hulls and bulkheads against the extreme stresses caused by warp fields, weapons, and other motion.
Ablative hull armor, which rapidly dissipates the energy impacts from directed energy weapon fire.
Ablative generators, which generated a nearly-impenetrable layer of armor around the hull of the ship.
A tritanium and tetraburnium composite alloy hull.
Enhanced, regenerative, redundant, reinforced, multiphasic, multispectrum, unimatrix defensive shields, which protects the ship from energy weapons and torpedoes for an exponentially longer duration and makes the ship's hull capable of withstanding extremes of temperature and pressure.

In 2385, the USS Bohr was the only Merian-class Fast Frigate assigned to Task Force Perseverance, the special expeditionary force of Task Force Dauntless, the mobile arm of Abraxis Command, operating in the Gamma Quadrant from its sector headquarters at Deep Space Gamma-01. Task Force Perseverance was under the flag command of Rear Admiral Adnan Kaplan, while both Task Force Dauntless and Abraxis Command were under the overall command of Vice Admiral Razal Gibran.

Under Condition Green, the USS Bohr would travel with the Akira-class Heavy Cruiser USS Tsurugi.

Under Condition Yellow, the USS Bohr was part of Mission Group Bravo, composed of five ships and led by the USS Kratos, together with the Hephaestus-class Support Carrier USS Hephaestus, the Prometheus-class Assault Cruiser USS Kheshig, and the Steamrunner-class Heavy Frigate USS Hatamoto.

Under Condition Red-1, the USS Bohr was part of Strike Group Two, composed of the five less tactically capable ships on the task force, , led by the Intrepid-class Light Cruiser USS Moribus, composed of the five least tactically capable starships in the task force: the Hephaestus-class Support Carrier USS Hephaestus, the Norway-class Heavy Frigate USS Lotharingia, and the Saber-class Fast Frigate USS Tori Tanto.
