The USS Hawthorne (NCC-26647) was an Ambassador-class starship active in the 24th century. It was named after the 19th century author Nathaniel Hawthorne. The Hawthorne was commanded by Captain Franklin Xavier from 2370 onwards. Sara Thales served as first officer from the beginning of Xavier's tenure.
Missions[]
The Hawthorne was part of the Eighth Fleet during the Dominion War. With the fleet, it defended Andoria for much of the war, but moved to the front lines toward the end. Unfortunately, it suffered both significant damage and numerous casualties in its final engagements. Consequently, the Hawthorne spent several months undergoing repairs at Earth Spacedock in early and mid-2376. Most of the crew took temporary assignments or shore leave on Earth or elsewhere; Captain Xavier was one of the few who remained nearby.
