Vanguard Command[]

The USS Primus Pilus was launched in 2384 from Coronalis Frontier Fleet Yards and was commissioned in 2385 as part of the Vanguard Fleet, the mobile arm of Vanguard Command.

As part of Vanguard Command, the USS Primus Pilus's capabilities included:

Type-XII phaser arrays.
Mark-XII pulse phaser cannons.
A full payload of Khronnian enhanced high-yield photon torpedoes, which were almost powerful as standard quantum torpedoes.
The capacity to launch quantum torpedoes and transphasic torpedoes, the latter only as a last resort.
A diverse and combat-modified complement of auxiliary crafts.
A 10-man Starfleet Commando Force for special away team missions and even black ops mission.

Enhanced and redundant structural integrity fields, which exponentially increased the ship's ability to maintain the integrity and shape of hulls and bulkheads against the extreme stresses caused by warp fields, weapons, and other motion.
Ablative hull armor and ablative armor plating, which rapidly dissipates the energy impacts from directed energy weapon fire and makes the ship endure massive weapons fire even after its shield have been overpowered.

The USS Primus Pilus was launched in 2384 and commissioned on 2385. It was placed under the command of Captain Riamon Pevod and attached to Task Force Regent, mobile arm of Berengaria Command, operating in the Alpha Quadrant near the borders of the Breen Confederacy, with headquarters at Starbase 514. Both Task Force Regent and Berengaria Command were under the overall command of Rear Admiral Mackenzie Calhoun. The USS Primus Pilus was designated as the secondary flagship of Task Force Regent.

During Condition Green, the USS Primus Pilus would travel with one Saber-class Fast Frigate and one Merian-class Fast Frigate

Under Condition Yellow, the USS Primus Pilus would serve as the flagship of Mission Group Bravo and was accompanied by one Prometheus-class Assault Cruiser, one Norway-class Heavy Frigate, one Intrepid-class Light Cruiser, two Saber-class Fast Frigates, two Merian-class Fast Frigates, two Diligent-class Tactical Frigates, and two Defiant-class Tactical Frigates.

Under Condition Red-1, the USS Primus Pilus would serve as the flagship of Strike Group Two, and was accompanied by the Luna-class Heavy Cruiser USS Deimos, the Akira-class Heavy Cruiser USS Cree, two Prometheus-class Assault Cruisers, two Norway-class Heavy Frigates, two Intrepid-class Light Cruisers, four Saber-class Fast Frigates, four Merian-class Fast Frigates, four Diligent-class Tactical Frigates, and four Defiant-class Tactical Frigates, which was half of the starships of Task Force Viceroy.
