The USS Renaissance (NCC-811209) is a Starfleet Kingdom-class scientific vessel.
In 2598, the Renaissance became the first ever vessel to carry out an extensive study of the Klingon star Ogat, near the Klingon/Gorn border. The study lasted five months. At the conclusion of the mission, however, the Renaissance was attacked by the Saer'nar, but the crew managed to flee in escape pods before the ship was destroyed. (PIO: "On a Knife Edge")
