The USS Victor was a Federation Ambassador III-class Heavy Cruiser variant in the service of Starfleet in the late 24th century.

History[]

Originally christened the Victorious, the ship was launched from the Utopia Planitia Fleet Yards in 2338 and was commissioned in 2339 under the command of newly promoted Captain Maximus Hunter.

The Victorious and its captain served in many of the front line operations of Starfleet.

In 2355, the Victorious served as the flagship of the first ever permanently operating task force in Starfleet, which was aptly named Task Force Victorious. The ship led the task force in fifteen successful engagements during the Federation-Cardassian War.

After posting a distinguished record, the Victorious was decommissioned in 2364 and was succeeded by the Galaxy-class starship USS Victorious.

Vanguard Command[]

The ship was taken out of moth ball in 2384 and underwent an extensive internal refit, upgrade and modification at the Coronalis Frontier Fleet Yards. It was recommissioned as the USS Victor in 2385, because the Victorious-A was still in active service. The Victor was one of twelve Ambassador III-class Heavy Cruisers assigned to the Rapid Reaction Force of Vanguard Command. It was placed under the command of maverick Captain Val Zaybor, a male Brikar.

Ship features and capabilities[]

The USS Victor was intended as a testbed for a combination of new technologies utilized onboard a comparatively older starship design such as the Ambassador space frame. An older ship class that packs a lot of technology, power and speed. As such, the ship was equipped with all of the following:

Offensive capabilities[]

Defensive capabilities[]

  • Enhanced and redundant structural integrity fields, which exponentially increase the ship's ability to maintain the integrity and shape of hulls and bulkheads against the extreme stresses caused by warp fields, weapons, and other motion.
  • Redundant and regenerative ablative hull armor, which rapidly dissipates the energy impacts from directed energy weapon fire and makes the ship endure massive weapons fire even after its shield have been overpowered.
  • Enhanced, regenerative, redundant, reinforced, multiphasic, multispectrum unimatrix defensive shields, which protect the ship from energy weapons and torpedoes for an exponentially longer duration and make the ship's hull capable of withstanding extremes of temperature and pressure.
  • Microdiffracted carbon hull coating that absorbs all visible radiation that fell upon it, making it as black as the space it moved through.
  • A sensor stealth system which masks the ship's warp signature and helped avoid detection during covert operations. Custom-designed warp coil insulators reduced its energy signature almost to nil. As long as radio silence was maintained, the ship could cruise unnoticed through interstellar space.
  • Advanced external holographic emitters, which give the ship the ability to alter its appearance by disguising itself as another object, such as an asteroid.

Propulsion capabilities[]

  • A Khronnian enhanced warp drive that allows it to travel at a normal cruise speed of Warp 8.5 and a top sustained speeds of Warp 9.5.
  • A quantum slipstream drive that allows the ship to travel 300 light years in an hour, though in two hour bursts every 6 hours due to the ship's tall and wide configuration.
  • A Class-7 secondary warp core, which allows the ship to travel at a cruising speed of warp 6 while the primary warp core was offline.
  • Enhanced impulse engines that can attain sub-light velocities of 0.95c.
  • An enhanced maneuvering thruster array with retro-thrusters which exponentially increased the ship's agility despite its size.

Other capabilities[]

Auxiliary crafts[]

The USS Victor boast an auxiliary craft complement composed of the following:

With all these enhancements, the USS Victor was even more powerful overall than a standard Galaxy-class Command Cruiser.

Rapid Reaction Force[]

As part of the Rapid Reaction Force, the USS Victor was deployed to imminent crisis situations anywhere within the AOR of Vanguard Command, or for diplomatic missions: shipping ambassadors, admirals and other high-ranking dignitaries from world to world. Its home port was Station Frontier.

The USS Victor was one of the RRF starships that were deployed to escort and protect the USS Orpheus in its missions around the sector commands of Vanguard Command.

The ship quickly gained a reputation for being the "wrong ship at the right place and the right time," which meant that the USS Victor and its crew were the least expected to be present in a particular star system or near a sister starship during its most critical situation. But then they were able to help "save the day."

Special mission[]

When necessary, the USS Victor is teamed up with the equally modified Wakizashi-class Destroyer USS Moro (NCC-82307) and the Nova-class Tactical Frigate USS Eclipse on special missions. The trio of ships have travelled together to as far as the interstellar space around the territory of the Coalition of Delta Quadrant Races in the Delta Quadrant, launching from Station DSD1, to the star systems around the Alliance of Gamma Quadrant Planets in the Gamma Quadrant, facing off with numerically superior hostile Delta Quadrant and Gamma Quadrant forces, the Breen Confederacy, the Romulan Star Empire, the Tzenkethi, and others.
