Val Zaybor is a male Brikar Starfleet officer in the 24th century.
Early childhood[]
Zaybor was born on the planet of Brikar on 2347.
Starfleet Academy[]
Inspired by the few Brikars who became Starfleet officers and their adventures in space, Zaybor joined Starfleet Academy on 2365 and graduated in the top 10 of his class in 2369. he immediately took the advanced tactical course and the bridge officer's course.
Starfleet Career[]
In the first four years of his career in Starfleet, he quickly rose to the rank of Lieutenant. He developed a reputation as an efficient and decisive bridge officer as well as an effective tactical and special operations officer in covert missions.
By 2373 he had reached the rank of Commander, and for five years had proficiently served as Executive officer onboard three different capital ships.
On 2380 he was promoted to the rank of Captain and was given a Ambassador-class starship to command. In his entire career, he had spent the most time onboard Ambassador-class starships. Thus, giving a deep familiarity with the the class's innards and capabilities. As such, his 5 years as Commanding Officer of an Ambassador-class starship was a study on how to maximize the size and specs of such a class of ships under extreme conditions and varied situations. This track record gained Zaybor the attention of Maximus Hunter.
Vanguard Command[]
As of 2385, Zaybor held the rank of Captain and was assigned as Commanding Officer of the Ambassador III-class Heavy Cruiser USS Victorious, which was attached to the Rapid Reaction Force of Vanguard Command. He and his ship are frequently deployed whenever a crisis is imminent, or for diplomatic missions: shipping ambassadors, admirals and other high-ranking dignitaries from world to world, or escorting the Hephaestus-class Support Carrier USS Orpheus to star systems under the area of responsibility of any of the seven sector commands comprising Vanguard Command that are experiencing a crisis.
Because the Victorious was formerly the ship of Fleet Admiral Maximus Hunter, on occasions when the whole Task Force Resilient was deployed on a critical mission under the command of Admiral John Blackbull, Zaybor and his ship were given the honor of ferrying the former to Earth for Federation Council or Starfleet Command meetings.
