Venus (or Sol II) is the second planet in the Sol system, it is one of the many planets that have a complete cloud cover of sulfuric acid. This atmosphere causes the planet to have an extremely hot landscape. It is named after the Roman goddess of love and beauty.
History[]
The most widely accepted theory in the Federation on how Venus was formed is the Sol nebula theory. Venus is said to have been formed from the rock and gases in it's orbit about 4.5 billion years ago. Later on, it was hit with a large asteroid and flipped over to the point where it rotates backwards.
Another theory, which is largely suppressed, is that a creator created it at around 4004 BC; Venus then got it's tilt during the "Great Destruction" around 2400 BC.
Life[]
There is no evidence of life ever having existed on Venus. Although the lack of evidence, many Starfleet Scientists have theorized about the possibility.
